Bringing the glory of God through prayer in tongues

God has given us a channel to attract his glory, the
praying in tongues ...
Introduction: We are in the middle of our campaign
"The Ark of boots. David asks: "How shall I bring me glory of
God"? This is an interesting question that should occupy the minds of all
those who love God. In the Old Testament there was only one way to bring the
glory of God, was through a sacred utensil called "Ark of the
Covenant".
In the New Testament the Glory Shekinah was
spiritualized through the event called Pentecost, where the Holy Spirit came
upon the disciples of Jesus filling them with the presence of God and languages
estrangeiras.
Em virtue of Pentecost, the presence and the Glory God
was no more limited to the Ark, the Tabernacle and the Temple, but it was
expanded by the Spirit to all those who are born again and become one spirit
with the Lord (1 Cor 6:17).
Through three topics, let me clarify some questions
and get you to use this powerful channel that God has given us to attract his
glory, the praying in tongues.
1-Understanding the importance of praying in tongues:
Many unfortunately ignore the Praying in tongues through ignorance of the gift,
others believe that this gift closed in the apostolic age, and should not be a
Christian practice. Other in turn say that this practice is of the devil.
Biblical basis of Praying in Tongues:
1.1 Jesus said it is a sign of believers (MC16: 17)
1.2 - At Pentecost was a sign of the Fullness of the
Spirit (Acts 2: 1- 4)
1.3 - In the house of Cornelius was evidence that they
were filled with the Holy Spirit (Acts 10: 44-46)
1.4 - In the city of Ephesus was a sign that they were
baptized with the Holy Spirit (Acts 19: 1-6)
2-What are the obstacles that may prevent us from
praying in tongues?
2.1 - IGNORANCE: Many do not pray in the Spirit
because not know that there is this kind of prayer. Others think that this gift
ended in the apostolic age and so on.
2.2 - Theological LOCK: Some people do not pray in
tongues because they were raised in a traditional church context, where they
teach that this type of gift does not exist for the church today.
2.3 - MENTAL CONFLICT: Some people have a hard time
with the thoughts. Your mind persists with every concern when they are praying
in tongues, and they are in such a troubled so stop praying in tongues (I Cor.
14:14).
2.4 - LACK FAITH: We are filled with the Holy Spirit
by faith, as well as everything else in the Christian life. Perhaps people are
endowed with the gift of tongues, but do not use because they do not believe
they have received.
2.5 - DEVIL'S PROSECUTION: It's easy Satan disturb the
mind full of worry and torment, for when the mind is in this way can not even
think clearly.
2.6 - FAILURE TO EXERCISE: There are many believers
who have been baptized with the Holy Spirit and received the gift of tongues,
but the lack of exercise of the gift he got stuck.
2.7 - SEARCH MISSING: Many people have not yet been
baptized with the Holy Spirit and not speak in tongues not find it so important
to seek this gift (Jer 29:13).
3. What are the benefits of praying in tongues?
3.1 - The OWN BUILDING: (I Corinthians 14: 4).
3.2 - GOD'S PRESENCE becomes aware (I Corinthians
14:14).
3.3 - HOLD IN REVELATION: (I Corinthians 14: 2).
3.4 - REVELATION OF GOD'S MYSTERIES: (Eph 1: 16-17)
3.5 - ACTIVE OUR FAITH: (Jude 1:20).
3.6 - GERA REST: (Is 28: 11-12).
3.7 - STEP UP Intercession: (Rom 8: 26-27).
3.8 - SIGNAL SERVE for unbelievers: (I Corinthians
14:22).
3.9 - DELIVER US ATTACKS OF EVIL: (Eph 6:18)
